There are now multiple reports stating that Urban Meyer will step down at 5PM as head coach of the Florida Gators. A press conference is scheduled for 5PM Eastern.
Twitter account Gator Updates reported the story, and it was echoed by national radio host Todd Wright.
Analysis: this is bad for FSU. Florida is likely to grab Dan Mullen and his excellent staff at Mississippi State, which is a much better group than what UF had with Meyer and co.
