Alex Jones: Charlie Sheen situation blew up in my face - National Alex Jones

Calling in to his own radio show yesterday after spending the morning in interviews and appearing on 'The View', Alex Jones of InfoWars.com said,

“The Charlie Sheen situation basically blew up in my face. But I'm not someone who takes a curve ball or wild card and falls down crying about it.”

Responding to criticism from Media Matters for America, Jones said it was his understanding that Sheen was going to appear on his show to discuss the fact the he was clean and sober. Jones wanted to give Sheen, his friend, a media outlet to help dispel some of the rumors that are circulating. He also thought the he and Sheen would discuss Sheen's video message to Obama. Media Matters accused Jones of using the Charlie Sheen situation to garner publicity for his own hot topics, namely 9/11 and the fall of Building 7, the Bush administration, the war in Iraq, the TSA and Homeland Security and the Federal Reserve.

Alex readily admits that, while appearing on 'The View' yesterday he “completely dominated all of “The View” hosts and shut them down.” Instant ratings, Alex said, available immediately after his appearance on the stage, were “off the charts!”

Alex thought the audience loved hearing his comments about Building 7, the TSA and Bush and said that Barbra Walters looked like she was ready to have a heart attack.

“I was completely blindsided by Charlie but I know why he's so upset.”

According to Jones, Charlie Sheen is upset because Chuck Lorre, writer and producer of "Two And A Half Men," keeps putting out vanity cards that say Charlie is dead inside, etc. Jones says Sheen is someone who's coming off an addiction and Sheen is getting sick of being judged and tired of being demonized by the media.

“My issue on the show was, Charlie's been my friend, and I got him on the show to show that he'd been blood tested and he was clean, “ said Jones.

Jones says Charlie took people's criticism of drugs and alcohol and threw it right back in their faces. He apologized for how shocking the show turned out to be but said that something good came of it after all. The line of people waiting to get into the studio to watch 'The View' was about 98% women and these were people who had never been exposed to these issues before. Jones says he's thankful, in the end, for what happened.

After reading several articles posted around the Internet, it seems that the vast majority of readers are in full support of Alex Jones and most are concerned for Charlie Sheen. The only people who seem to really be coming out against either of them are the media, as evidenced by this article at The Wire, saying that Alex is even crazier than Sheen and, of course, the above mentioned article at Media Matters.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Charlie Sheen will be appearing on the Howard Stern show on Wednesday. In a conversation with John Stewart on Monday's The Daily Show, Stewart told Stern that he was no where near Sheen's 'lunatic range'. Stern's response was:

"I believe there will be a one-man show where I will get on stage on Broadway and I will reenact the rantings of Charlie Sheen one day!"

“Who is more insane, Charlie Sheen or Glenn Beck?” Stern then asked.
“I’m gonna go with ... the guy whose skin you could flake off and smoke like crack," Stewart said. "I’m going with Charlie Sheen.”
