(Reuters) - U.S. gasoline futures settled at their highest level in 33 months on Wednesday, lifted by government data showing gasoline inventories fell for the 10th week in a row last week, dropping to their lowest level since August 2009.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, RBOB gasoline for May delivery RBK1 was up for the fifth day and settled at $3.4194 a gallon, gaining 6.22 cents, or 1.85 percent, after trading from $3.3473 to $3.4250. The settlement was the highest for front-month gasoline since the July 14, 2008 close at $3.5577. (Reporting by Gene Ramos)
