Moscow offers to help Washington tackle the aftermath of the tornadoes and violent storms that have claimed 313 lives in the southern part of the US.
"We are ready to render any possible assistance in overcoming the circumstances of this tragedy," RIA Novosti quoted a statement released by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's office on Friday.
The report comes as President Barack Obama will visit the affected areas in Alabama on Friday to see the billions of dollars in damages inflicted on the area. He will also meet Alabama Governor Robert Bentley.
Tuscaloosa, a city of more than 83,000 citizens and home to the University of Alabama, has so far suffered the worst damage.
