South Carolina teen dies on highway named for his father
18-year-old Aaron Hill was killed on a highway named after his late father.

An 18-year-old senior was killed in a tragic car crash Thursday on the same stretch of road named in memory of his soldier father who died in Afghanistan.

Aaron Hill was driving to class along the Sergeant Shawn F. Hill Memorial Highway in Wellford, South Carolina, when a pickup truck crossed the center line and smashed into his vehicle head-on, cops said.

"It's tragic," said Sheriff Chuck Wright, a family friend who had to identify the young man's body. "No one should have to go through this.

"They've been through so much."
