WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama promised to change Washington's ways. Yet he's as caught up in them as ever.
As the week began, Obama kicked off his re-election bid with a sunny video of people talking about their hopes and needs, the very image of life outside Washington politics.
By week's end, Obama was mired in budget negotiations, canceling trips and scrambling to stave off a government shutdown that could only undermine the public's faith in his leadership.
There is no question anymore as to why the Obama administration is attempting to impose a change of the regime of Libya.
On March 17th I wrote about the invasion of Libya being about two main objectives: privatizing the national oil company and the state-owned central banking system. I pointed out that the US and British inserted language in the UN resolution that allowed them to freeze the accounts of the nationalized oil company as well as the central bank of Libya. Well, before they have even won their coup, the CIA backed pro-west opposition has taken the time to announce that they have formed a new national oil company and central bank. Obviously they have allowed our neo-liberal economic hit-men to write-up the legal documentation for this action and I am sure it hands over control to multinationals outside Libya. This is why so many globalist apologists and neo-liberals have been running around the last week claiming that the real government in Libya is the Transitional National Council.
An 18-year-old senior was killed in a tragic car crash Thursday on the same stretch of road named in memory of his soldier father who died in Afghanistan.
Aaron Hill was driving to class along the Sergeant Shawn F. Hill Memorial Highway in Wellford, South Carolina, when a pickup truck crossed the center line and smashed into his vehicle head-on, cops said.

House Republicans, in a 240-179 vote, pushed through a measure disapproving the Federal Communications Commission's rules. Tech and telecom giants such as Verizon Communications Inc and Microsoft Corp could be affected.

The Rasmussen Consumer Index, which measures the economic confidence of consumers on a daily basis, fell for the fifth straight day on Saturday. At 76.5, the Consumer Index has fallen five points since Monday’s recent peak. Confidence is down one point from a month ago and thirteen points from three months ago.
Currently, just 9% of American adults rate the U.S. economy as good or excellent while 56% rate the economy as poor. Most (54%) say the economy is still getting worse while two-thirds (66%) say the country is still in a recession.
